Download Festival was host to some monsters of rock this weekend including the recently reformed Faith No More, Def Leppard and Pendulum.

So it seems appropriate that Bond girl Gemma Arterton chose the Donnington Park event to announce her fella is putting a monster of a rock on her finger.

The actress told pals how her boyfriend had proposed to her at the fest.

And she said yes.

Congratulations young lady.

But, while happy to boast of her engagement to fellow metalheads, the St Trinian’s star is keeping the identity of her fiancee close to her chest.

A source said: “Gemma seemed really excited and was sharing the good news with people and telling them how over the moon she was.

“He was there with her and they seemed smitten with each other. He looked like he’d make a good James Bond with his tall, dark and handsome looks.”

It must have been a whirlwind romance for the star of upcoming blockbuster Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time.

Gemma only split with stuntman Eduardo Munoz in December — so whoever this new bloke is, he must have swept her off her feet.

What a lucky guy…
