I’ve scanned the 2010 Preview Issue of the French Studio Ciné Live, their article about Prince of Persia includes an interview with Gemma. We’ve also added a still from the set – and you can play ‘Where’s Waldo Gemma?’.
(Hint: Look for the umbrella.)
In this new interview, Gemma shares new info about Tamina.
“She’s the high priestress. She’s the guardian of the dagger of time, the story’s object of lust. She’s a benevolent religious woman but preaching isn’t her cup of tea. She has a spiritual approach. On the other hand, she’s very feisty and, being the only main female character, she’s the one responsible for femininity. She’s very spirited and she doesn’t step back from anything in order to protect the dagger of time. She’s a very strong character. I think she embodies everything that a woman should be. She’s a real role model.”

Keira Knightley will not play Eliza Doolittle in the new movie version of My Fair Lady.
The Oscar-nominated actress, currently energising the London theatre scene with her stage debut in The Misanthrope at the Comedy Theatre, has withdrawn herself from consideration for the role created by Audrey Hepburn in the landmark film based on the Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe musical.
Over a period of two years, the 24-year-old star met producers Cameron Mackintosh and Duncan Kenworthy to discuss the possibility of playing the Covent Garden flower girl who becomes a Maycould fair lady after she meets Professor Henry Higgins. Read the rest of this entry »
Gemma leaving the Garrick Theatre last night, after another performance of The Little Dog Lauhged (UPDATE: Replaced them with bigger versions and added a few more). We’ve also added a behind-the-scenes still of Gemma as Io in Clash of the Titans. Very similar to the one we’ve seen before, but not quite the same.

UPDATE – the corresponding scans, thanks to Lorna:
Within seconds of entering a rehearsal room just before Christmas, Gemma Arterton is chatting away about her new play, the satirical Broadway import The Little Dog Laughed, and the perils of being typecast
She might have spent the past two and a half years working alongside Daniel Craig and Ralph Fiennes but the girl from Gravesend has proved oddly resistant to the Hollywood PR doctrine of keeping it bland and diplomatic.
‘I’ve been wanting to do a play for about a year,’ says the wideeyed 24-year-old, who, despite everything, comes across as a girl who likes nothing more than spending Saturday afternoons at Topshop. Read the rest of this entry »
Gemma was on GMTV with Lorraine Kelly this morning – thanks to Lorna for the heads up! ![]()
Caps are coming soon.
According to this article Gemma’s grandmother passed away last night. We want to express how sorry we are for Gemma’s loss, and that our thoughts are with her and her family.

“Clash of the Titans” hits theaters on March 26, 2010. It will be director Louis Leterrier’s follow-up to the 2008 Marvel Comics flick “The Incredible Hulk” and only his fourth feature as a director (“Transporter 2″ and the Jet Li-starring “Unleashed” being the other two). Leterrier has honed his craft quite a bit through the years, and all signs suggest that “Clash” will be his biggest and best effort yet.
That said, there are still a few burning questions that fans want some answers on. The massive success of “Avatar,” which also stars “Clash” lead Sam Worthington, has left many people wondering if the movie will be in 3-D. In fact, Worthington even mentioned the possibility of a 3-D release in a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times. There’s also news that emerged earlier this week that British rock group Muse had been asked to score the movie. It’s something they were interested in doing, frontman Matt Bellamy said in an interview with the Daily Star.
In an interview with MTV News earlier today (part of a longer upcoming feature we’ll be posting on Louis’ big year) Leterrier set the record straight at last on the 3-D and soundtrack rumors. Read the rest of this entry »

Anchor Bay will release J Blakeson’s much fancied kidnapping thriller The Disappearance Of Alice Creed starring Gemma Arterton following its world premiere in Toronto.
A Bigger Boat founder Peter Block is understood to have negotiated the deal for US rights with Cinetic and funnelled the film to Anchor Bay, with whom he has a relationship.
The film marks Block’s first acquisition since leaving his post as president of acquisitions and co-productions at Lionsgate in 2008 and setting up his new Los Angeles-based company. Read the rest of this entry »
