Bond Girl Gemma Arterton has dropped two dress sizes after cutting down on alcohol.
The 24-year-old was pictured with what seemed to be a double chin (sic!) last year, but there wasn’t an inch of spare flesh on her when I caught up with her at the War Child concert in London last week – and she puts it all down to the demands of her West End play The Little Dog Laughed.
‘I haven’t been drinking in the evenings because I’ve been working so hard on the play.
‘I don’t get out until late so there isn’t much time for wining and dining afterwards,’ she told me.
Gemma Arterton enjoyed an evening at Bungalow 8 in London yesterday.

These are actually bits from the current issue of Total Film – a Gemma feature that we don’t have the scans of yet. Expect those later today.
However, they picked some amusing bits, thus for your entertainment:
‘Clash of the Titans’ actress Gemma Arterton says her co-stars fought over who got the chance to wash her during one particular scene.
Gemma Arterton’s male co-stars used to try and wash her with a loofah.
The ‘Clash of the Titans’ actress – who plays Greek mythological being Io in the forthcoming remake of the 1981 movie – was ogled by her fellow actors as she bathed under a waterfall during one of their fight scenes.
She said: “There’s a moment which all the cast found hilarious where there’s all this fighting going on, all these men being completely macho, and then there’s me in a waterfall with my hair down, washing. All the boys were like, ‘Who’s going in with the loofah to give Io a wash?’ ” Read the rest of this entry »
A new featurette has been released – new (and funny) scenes and they talk about filming in Morocco.

We are getting ever closer to April 30th 2010 – the theatrical release date for The Disappearance of Alice Creed. Now, CinemaNX has set up an official Facebook page for the movie. At the moment it is the preferred reference site, but the official website will be revamped in the future. We can follow Alice Creed on Twitter and MySpace too.
Very long and very cool interview – you can also listen to the soundfile at the source.
The other interviews linked at the bottom over there are worth checking out as well.
If you don’t know who Gemma Arterton is…I’m confident that’ll change by June. As the female lead in both Clash of the Titans and Prince of Persia, Gemma Arterton is right on the cusp of being a huge movie star. But when I was on the set of director Louis Leterrier’s Clash of the Titans last August outside of London, Gemma Arterton came across as not only grounded, but completely unaffected by the high profile movies she was in. While some actors might let it go to their head, Gemma didn’t seem like she’d be one of them.
Anyway, during the roundtable interview with Arterton, she talked about her character Io in the film, how she had been finding her way as filming went on, filming such huge movies and what that’s like, and a ton more as we spoke to her for around 30 minutes. [...]
Our beautiful Gemma was not only featured in the March 2010 issue of Glamour UK (view scan here), she’s also featured in the March 2010 issue of Glamour USA.
We’ll be adding scans as soon as we have access to the magazine, but you can view the gorgeous new photoshoot in our gallery in the meantime.
As a former Bond Girl and the belly-baring star of the upcoming Prince of Persia, Gemma Arterton has mastered the art of dressing her shape. According to Glamour, we can look just as sultry as she does in jeans, sparkles and black-and-white pieces like these from Michael Kors’ body-friendly spring collection.

Interview with BAFTA nominee Nicholas Hoult
Nic spilled the beans on upcoming film Clash of the Titans, saying co-star Gemma Arterton was just “one of the boys”.
The BAFTA nominee said: “Working with Sam Worthington and Gemma was amazing.
“Gemma was the only girl on set, but she was a great laugh. She was just like one of the lads. I was the youngest so everyone looked after me.
“I didn’t get any brownie points from my mates starring opposite a Bond girl though. They tend to take the mick rather than give me any kudos.”
Nicholas is keeping his fingers crossed to be crowned Rising Star at this year’s ceremony. Vote at orange.co.uk/bafta.
Armani has lent its sartorial edge to the West End, dressing the cast of The Little Dog Laughed starring Tamsin Greig, Gemma Arterton, Harry Lloyd and Rupert Friend at the Garrick Theatre. The play, written by Douglas Carter Beane, is as sharp as the attire and brilliantly funny.
Keira Knightley’s other half Rupert Friend leads the cast playing a homosexual actor reluctant to admit his sexuality to the world. Tamsin Greig, as his agent, has perfect comic timing, whilst Gemma Arterton – playing Friend’s wife – proves that her acting credentials go far beyond “former Bond girl”.
The costumes by Armani come from the brand’s Emporio Armani collection and are a mixture of archive pieces from previous seasons.

Topping last year’s party was always going to be War Child’s biggest challenge this year.
2009′s bash ended with members of U2, The Killers, Coldplay and Take That all on stage together.
Yesterday’s show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire wasn’t rivalling that – we got La Roux dueting with Heaven 17 and The Mighty Boosh’s Noel Fielding joining Kasabian – but it was still an all-star set up.
Best spot: Gemma Arterton and Sheridan Smith both dancing to Kasabian’s Fire.

A short “Characters” featurette for Clash of the Titans has been released. There isn’t a lot of Gemma, but one very brief new scene and a new line from Io.
