Mumbai: British actor Gemma Arterton shot to fame with the role of agent Strawberry Fields in the James Bond flick Quantum of Solace.
However, she is unfazed by speculations of Indian actor Freida Pinto starring in the next Bond flick. On the contrary, Gemma is convinced that Freida would do a great job if she actually becomes a Bond girl.
“As of now, I heard that all such news of her being approached for the next Bond girl is a grapevine rumour. But if it comes true, I can say that I have seen her work, and, yeah, she might pull it off well as I too started so fresh in the shoes of a Bond girl but the camera and of course the director taught me a lot,” says Gemma. She plays a mysterious spiritual guide in the movie.
Which is perhaps why Gemma Arterton decided tonight was the night to unveil her angel wing tattoo at the Clash Of The Titans premiere in London.
With her hair scrapped back into a tight bun, it is the first time the 24-year-old actress has showed off the etching, which has been done in black ink behind her left ear.
On a night when most of her co-stars joined her in wearing black, Gemma still managed to steal the limelight as she slipped into a fishnet-style dress. Read the rest of this entry »
The film’s stars were surrounded by ancient Greek style columns and statues as they made their way up the red carpet for the world premiere of the 3D action epic at the Empire cinema in Leicester Square, London.
Arterton, wearing a figure-hugging, knee-length black dress with bare legs and towering heels, had her hair swept up as she showed off her new tattoo, a tribal design behind her ear.
She said: ”We all got grazes rolling around in fight scenes which we called clash rash. Read the rest of this entry »

TeenHollywood: Although Perseus is the lead character, he has a pretty cool group of guys and a gal going on his quest with him. Did you to make it more of an ensemble movie?
Sam: We didn’t want the boys to get lost, to be honest. This movie is fun, fast, furious. There’s a title for you (we laugh). Look at Star Wars (and compare). You’ve got your Luke Skywalker. You’ve got your Han Solo. Gemma [Arterton] is your Princess Leah. You’ve got your other two boys which are CP30 and R2D2 and the bloke made of wood is Chewbacca. They’re archetypes of an epic journey that you need to go along.
Monster-slaying movie Clash Of The Titans is set to have its world premiere, with stars including Sam Worthington and Gemma Arterton taking to the red carpet.
The 3D epic sees Worthington take on the role of Perseus, the son of Zeus.
The 33-year-old Australian actor, who starred in Avatar and Terminator Salvation, trained six hours a day for two months to get in shape. Read the rest of this entry »

Talking with Gemma earlier. She said she beat you in a race.
She did.
And you weren’t too happy.
I’m not too happy? That’s bullshit. I let her win! No er.. She beat me fair and square. We had to run away from the scorpion and that chick and run. My Christmas hands held me back brother! (laughing) That’s the problem. I gotta lotta drag back here. I couldn’t get any traction. The girl took off and I gotta swallow it. I’ll be a man’s man and she won. Yeah, she beat me.
