Actress and Bond girl Gemma Arterton joins Matt and Alex in the studio. Plus the ordinary people who stood up to fascism in the 1930′s, a tribute to Dad’s Army writer David Croft and a new scheme to help hedgehogs.
Thanks Lorna for the heads-up.
Flavor Magazine is a monthly French publication. Gemma Arterton will be featured in their fashion issue next September. They posted a preview of her interview on their website today. French fans: please send us scans when the magazine will be out!
Dans ton Ipod on trouve quoi ?
Haha en général quand j’ai bu, j’aime les balades puissantes comme Poison ou Bonnie Tyler. Ma chanson de karaoké c’est « Total Eclipse of the Heart ».

Gemma Arterton is featured in the June 2011 issue of Elle India (now on stands) and tells the magazine why she’s more of a tomboy than sex goddess.
The photos used come from the very same photoshoot that was recently featured in Elle Ukraine, but at least one of the photos was previously unseen and apparently the interview is supposed to be brand new.
We only have a preview to offer you so far, so if anyone can send us scans, we’d greatly appreciate the help.

Gemma Arterton was featured in two French magazines this year: Grazia (February 25th – Spécial Mode) and Madame Figaro (April 2nd – with Nicole Kidman on the cover). Apparently, they’re exclusive interviews. I don’t know if the photos are new or not.
She was also featured in the Italian magazine D with a special testimonial about her G-Star campaign and photo session in Marseille, France.

Hillary from LA Times Magazine was kind enough to send us some HQ photos from the magazine and its entire article. A huge thanks to her for the exclusivity!
In this brand new interview, Gemma Arterton reveals that her ultimate goal is to direct theater (but at the moment, she thinks she’s too naive), she’s not too fond of red carpets and the next stage project she’d like to be cast in.
“If you play eye candy, people think that’s all you can do… We should be able to play all kinds of roles, whether we’re getting in bed with James Bond or being hacked to pieces.”

LA, Los Angeles Times Magazine takes a closer look at Gemma Arterton as she transitions from eye candy (her words) in big-budget action movies “Quantum of Solace” and “Clash of the Titans” to the title role of the literary adaptation “Tamara Drewe”. Photographed by Sebastian Faena and styled by Beth Fenton, Arterton lets her freckles shine through and looks luminescent in underwear-as-outerwear couture. The 24-year-old talks about why actresses should be able to tackle any type of role, “whether we’re getting in bed with James Bond or being hacked to pieces,” how she landed “Tamara Drewe”, and why–despite being proud of the oddity–she regrets ever mentioning she was born with twelve fingers.
The annual beauty, health and wellness issue also features stories on celebrity fitness trainer Tracy Anderson, the art and science of aging gracefully, the latest in breast cancer treatments, and USC track star Bryshon Nellum’s battle back from gunshot wounds. This month also introduces a new feature, QinLA, with “Dexter” star Michael C. Hall answering LA-inspired queries.
The magazine isn’t actually available at newsstands, convenience stores, etc. It’s through subscription. The complete story and all of the photos will be available @ www.latimesmagazine.com.

Posing in suspenders and high heels, Bond girl Gemma Arterton insists…’I look really average’
She won an army of male admirers when she played Strawberry Fields in the hit 007 film Quantum Of Solace. But Gemma Arterton thinks she was ‘not hot enough’ to play a Bond girl and that she is ‘really average’.
Her fans may disagree – and these pictures of her posing in stockings, stilettos and a coat for the latest edition of GQ magazine make her look anything but plain.
The outfit is reminiscent of her chase scene through the streets of Panama with Bond actor Daniel Craig, when she wore nothing except a mac and boots.
But, in an interview with GQ magazine, she said: ‘In comparison to many actresses I think I’m really average. When I got the Bond film there was this big hoo-ha about me not being hot enough. I have to say, I agree. I don’t think I’m in that realm.’ Read the rest of this entry »
