Romping with a Bond girl made Mackenzie Crook nervous.
The Office star beds stunning actress Gemma Arterton in his latest film, Three and Out.
And Mackenzie reckons the naked sex scenes were helped along by the St Trinian’s star.
“It is nerve-wracking,” he said. “But I can’t think of anyone better to do it with, if that doesn’t sound too rude.
“She is great and very professional. I it was great working with her in that – and all my scenes with her.
“It is quite awkward, getting your kit off in front of a crew. I can’t wait to do it again!” he joked.

One of the BBC’s autumn drama highlights, Tess of the d’Urbervilles, has been hit by a suspected arson attack that has damaged thousands of pounds’ worth of period costumes.
Costume-makers have been roped in to work around the clock to replace outfits lost in the fire for the four-part adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s tragic novel, which stars Bond girl Gemma Arterton.
Arterton, who plays Agent Fields in new Bond movie Quantum Of Solace, plays the lead role alongside a top cast including Anna Massey.
The damage was discovered yesterday morning in a trailer at Tog Hill near Bath, Somerset.

Check out one of the first reviews for Gemma’s upcoming 3 and Out film.
Rising star Gemma Arterton, on the other hand, who made her feature film debut in St Trinian’s, is wonderfully captivating in her role as the overtly confident Frankie Cassidy.

A STREET in Corsham was transformed back in time for a day as the BBC moved into film a new production of Tess of the D’Urbevilles.
On Monday a scene from the Thomas Hardy novel was recreated in Church Street.
The star of the production, which is due to be screened in August, will be 22-year-old Gemma Arterton.
The young starlet landed the role as Tess just months after being signed up to play Agent Fields in the next James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.
After graduating from Rada last year she has starred in several films, including the British comedy St Trinian’s.

From ThisisWiltshire.co.uk:
The Corsham club have also been playing host to the BBC this week as filming continues for an adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the D’Urbervilles. The production, whose cast includes new Bond girl Gemma Arterton and Anna Massey, have been utilising the rugby club as a base unit while filming in the Corsham locality.

The Daily Mail has an interview with Mackenzie Crook about Three And Out today. There’s a mention to Gemma in it.
Frankie, his love interest, is played by 22-year-old St Trinian’s star Gemma Arterton, one of the UK’s hottest young actresses. It was during the filming of Three And Out that Arterton learned she’d been cast in the next 007 movie, Quantum Of Solace. How did Crook feel about beating Bond to the girl?
He smirks. “She’s not the new Bond girl – she’s the new Crook girl.”
Crook says filming the sex scene was “far from erotic”, which must have been of some comfort to wife Lindsay, a former advertising executive with whom he has two children, five-year old Jude and three-month-old Scout.

USA Today has an interesting report about Quantum of Solace, they also got a new still which featured Daniel as James Bond and our Ms. Arterton as Agent Fields. I have added it to the gallery and check out the article here.
“He has his heart broken,” says Craig, who turned 40 during the shoot. “The love of his life is killed, and he finds out she’s not who she said she was. … He’s out for revenge. But he’s also out to find — and this is what the title is about — a ‘quantum of solace.’ Something has been taken away from him, and he’s out to get that back.”
Bond does bed another MI6 agent, played by British actress Gemma Arterton, 22, a relative newcomer. “He has one relationship in this movie, a kind of fling. It’s mutually beneficial,” Craig says. “I think both parties enjoy it.”

According to DailyMail.co.uk, Gemma has been landed the part of Princess Farah in Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time! Her character falls for a pauper prince in an Arabian Nights-style version of Romeo and Juliet. She reportedly beat the cream of Tinseltown talent to be handpicked by producer Jerry Bruckheimer. “I’m speechless! I’m thrilled beyond words. This is an absolutely golden opportunity.” She said.
Currently Orlando Bloom and Zac Efron are in the running for the role of the Prince.
We’ll keep waiting for a more official announcement soon.

Today I don’t bring you a scan that’s directly Gemma-related. In fact, it’s an article about the whole process of shooting Quantum of Solace. I think that this can be interesting for Bond fans and those interested in filmmaking.

Gemma Arterton to star in BBC adaptation of popular book
There is a new star on the horizon. Gemma Arterton, soon to be seen as the latest Bond Girl, has just landed a plum role in a BBC One drama.
The drama is to be screened during the autumn in the West Country. Arterton is to play Tess in an adaptation of the book Tess of the D’Urbervilles.
The character of Tess has always been played by devastatingly beautiful actresses and Gemma is no exception. This famous story was written by Thomas Hardy and is about a humble girl who discovers she is actually of high birth.

Ealing Studios is planning a sequel to its hit St Trinian’s film. Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcroft, who worked on the 2007 project, are writing the sequel script now.
The ensemble cast of last year’s film featured Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, Stephen Fry, Lena Headey, Russell Brand, Gemma Arterton, Mischa Barton, Jodie Whittaker, and Lily Cole. There is no word yet who will reprise their roles in the planned sequel.
The schoolgirl comedy, based on the cartoons by Ronald Searle and reviving the popular film franchise from the 1950s and 1960s, had a budget of $13m (£6.5m) and has become one of the recent surprise smash hits at the UK box office, taking $24.8m (£12.3m) in its home territory.

After taking five years post-Snatch to return to the seedy underbelly of London crime with Revolver, director Guy Ritchie is planning a much quicker turnaround after his next film, RocknRolla. That’s according to his new lead actress Thandie Newton, who revealed to MTV News that the director is intent on turning his latest drama into a trilogy of films - and on doing it fast.
“RocknRolla is one of three films and Guy’s keen to get going on that straight away,” Newton enthused. “[The second and third films in the series] are going to be excellent. I can’t wait.
“We shot incredibly quickly [on the first]. There were three weeks pre-production,” Newton added of her thoughts on how quickly the crime story could begin shooting. “He just gets on with it. He absolutely does not see challenges as intimidating.”

Earlier today, BBC One’s Breakfast programme got an exclusive look into the filming of Daniel Craig’s second 007 film, Quantum of Solace.
The two-minute long video, which can be viewed at YouTube thanks to CommanderBond.net Forum member ‘Royal Dalton’, features the Bond cast and crew in California and Panama.
The video features several shots of Bond in the streets of Panama as well as a helicopter taking off in the California desert, a location ‘so remote that three trips had to be made each time equipment and the crew had to be moved.’ A scene of a plane taking off in the desert is also shown.
Speaking on the Bond set in Panama City, Gemma Arterton, who plays MI6 Agent Fields in the film, said: ‘It was great working on the streets of Panama because you get a sense of what the real Panama City’s like. They’ve got so much life and character to them. It’s a brilliant location.’
Also included is a before-and-after shot of a local ruin that has been transformed into the location of a ‘key’ party sequence in the film that features Mathieu Amalric (Dominic Greene), Olga Kurylenko (Bond girl Camille) and Anatole Taubman (Elvis) in addition to Craig and Arterton.
Lastly, a brief look into an action scene with director Marc Forster and Craig is featured.
