The giant scorpions are back, but this time they’re slower. The second trailer for Louis Letterier’s Clash of the Titans remake, starring Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Gemma Arterton, gives itself fractionally more breathing space than the first (at least to start with). It’ll be playing in theatres before Avatar.

There are better glimpses of some of the monsters (Medusa among them), a few seconds of Mads Mikkelsen, “Titans! Will! Clash!” has been replaced with “Damn! The! Gods!”, and there’s more dialogue than before, including the legendary “Release the Kraken!” from Neeson.

The raison d’etre for this trailer would appear to be the big reveal of the Kraken itself.
