Following his recent success at London Film Festival, Danny Boyle is to direct a theatre show featuring Sir Ben Kingsley and Gemma Arterton.
Recent recipient of the BFI fellowship award at the London Film Festival, Danny Boyle will direct a one off theatre show starring Sir Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton, and Benedict Cumberbatch among others.
Organised by the arts charity Dramatic Need, the show entitled The Children’s Monologues will be performed at The Old Vic Theatre in the run up to World Aids Day. Dramatic Need are an arts charity that help children deal with the trauma of war through art, dance, theatre, film and photography.
Hot off his recent successes Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours, Danny Boyle will direct over a dozen actors including Romola Garai, Niki Amuka-Bird, and Wunmi Mosaku as they perform the soliloquised stories written by children in rural South Africa .
Tickets for The Children’s Monlogues, at 7pm on November 14th, can be purchased from the Old Vic Box Office from £40.
