The British polo season kicked off with a royal win for Princes William and Harry in Ascot, with Hollywood A-listers cheering from the sidelines.
The Princes, who both played on the Audi Quattro team, narrowly beat Audi Ultra, at Coworth Park on Saturday.
More than 200 special guests were invited, including actors Russell Crowe, Gemma Arterton and Tom Hardy.
Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton talked about meeting the royal pair on a previous occasion, saying: “They’re lovely, really lovely. I’m looking forward to seeing them again.”
When asked whether she would consider being the next princess, the actress said she was taken.
Tom Hardy, who is set to star in Dark Knight Rises later this year, admitted the sport left him confused.
“I’m a member of the Prince’s Trust actually, an ambassador for them, so always like to get involved when they’re around. Can’t play polo, don’t understand it, but it’s always nice to come along and have a cup of tea,” he said.
