Gemma Arterton brought some glamour to the London Film Festival on Friday night with a daring black dress.

The former Bond girl showed off a lot of leg in the jacket-style dress, which had a daring split high up between the legs.

Fortunately she had a black lace slip underneath to protect her modesty as she sashayed along the red carpet at the premiere of her latest film Song For Marion.

She completed her outfit with a pair of beige Prade wedges and her swept back in an updo.

Joined by co-stars Terence Stamp and child star Orla Hill, the pair braved the rain at the Odeon West End.

Also in attendance at the screening was actor Andy Serkis and his wife Lorraine.

Song For Marion stars Terrence as widower and pensioner Arthur, who is convinced to join a choir in tribute to his newly-departed wife Marion (Vanessa Redgrave).

Gemma plays the choir’s volunteer conductor, who attempts to turn Arthur into the choir’s star.

Despite launching her career with Bond film Quantum Of Solace, Gemma said she is steering away from big blockbusters.

She told Empire magazine: ‘I’ve gone right off the idea, I find it boring and creatively sapping. At the end of it you feel, “What have I done for the last six months? I’ve run around a bit and looked pretty for the boys.”‘
