The British actress loved working on her latest movie ‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’ – which also stars Jeremy Renner and Famke Janssen – because she struck up a close bond with the other female cast members.
She said: ”One of the best things about the film was hanging out with the girls. The film was a lot of fun to make because most of the other characters were witches. Usually, there are more men than women on film sets, but in this one there are only three male characters. Now, I’m a real girls’ girl. We spent four months shooting in Berlin, which is a long way from home, so I’d have all the girls over for girlie nights and we all became really good friends.”
It wasn’t only her female castmates that Gemma bonded with, as she developed a ”brother-and-sister” relationship with Jeremy.
She told HELLO! magazine: ”Jeremy is great and we did get to be very good pals. He became very protective of me, but we’d also punch each other and stuff, so it was a real brother-and-sister relationship.”
