Hannah Arterton will play Korinna in the first series of Atlantis, a BBC fantasy drama set in an ancient world of legendary heroes and mythical creatures (official website @ BBC One – Atlantis).

Korinna is a loyal servant and close friend to Ariadne, connecting her to the outside world and to Jason.

Atlantis airs on Saturday nights on BBC One at 8:25pm.

The 13-episode first season was filmed in Wales and Morocco.

Atlantis is being produced by Little Monster Films & BBC Cymru Wales and stars Mark Addy (Game of Thrones), Juliet Stevenson (White Heat), Alexander Siddig (Star Trek: Deep Space Nice, Primeval, Merlin, DaVinci’s Demons), Sarah Parish (Mistresses), Jemima Rooper (Lost In Austen), Aiysha Hart (Honour), Jack Donnelly (Dancing On The Edge) and Robert Emms (War Horse). Justin Molotnikov (Merlin) and Alice Troughton (Merlin) are directing.
