Gemma, together with her mum and sister, attended the opening night performance of La Fille Mal Gardee at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden (London). The young women cut stylish figures as they clearly dressed to impress for the occasion.

Gemma wore a conservative black jumpsuit, which were embellished with a retro, cut-away collar in white. She capped the look with some black, semi-sheer sandals.

Gemma attended the 2015 Olivier Awards yesterday (April 12) at The Royal Opera House in London. She looked splendid in a daring black dress and a minimalist gold necklace. Gemma was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical, but sadly she lost to Katie Brayben. Though, Gemma is amazing in Made in Dagenham and she’s a winner for us all anyway! :) Several photos from the evening have now been added in our gallery, enjoy!

LONDON EVENING STANDARDGemma Arterton and James McAvoy were among those present at this year’s Olivier Awards nominees lunch.

Arterton has been nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award in the category of Best Actress for her part in West End musical, Made in Dagenham. The 29-year-old could not hide her delight as she lined up alongside some of the UK’s finest theatre stars at the Theatre Royal on Tuesday.

The Bond actress wore a short Valentino heart-printed dress with a high neck as she sat alongside McAvoy, 35, who is in contention for the Best Actor prize for his role in The Ruling Class.

The duo will soon learn their fate with the awards taking place at the Royal Opera House on 12 April.

EMPIRE UK – In an unfortunately mildly unexciting week for movies, we have two very exciting guests talking about two movies out next week, namely Jim Parsons for Dreamworks animation Home and Gemma Arterton for serial killer comedy The Voices. The early ’00s dramedy Ed comes up, for some reason. You’ll see. Or hear, rather.

Elsewhere, the team talk all-female reboots, the new all-male Ghostbusters film, all that Star Wars / Disney / Frozen 2 news and try to come to terms with a world without Sir Terry Pratchett.

CAPITALFM – With the campaign to get Dave Berry on EastEnders becoming a real thing, we enlist the help of Hollywood actress Gemma Arterton to pass on some top notch acting tips.

After Dave Berry let slip he’d had a bit part on EastEnders a few years ago, Lisa Snowdon and the rest of the UK reckoned he ought to make a comeback.

[…]

To prepare himself for a comeback appearance on the popular soap, Dave and Lisa enlisted Gemma Arterton to lend her acting abilities, and act out this famous EastEnders scene where Zoe Slater finds out her sister Kat is in fact her mum…

Cue the duff-duffs!

We say ‘good job’ guys – and props to Dave Berry for donning THIS wig… We guess our costume department isn’t quite that of EastEnders, sorry, Dave! (source)
