The cast of Tommy Wirkola’s Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D is shaping up nicely, especially with the addition of the latest Jason Voorhees himself, Derek Mears (Predators, Friday the 13th, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl)! Read on to find out who else has joined the witch hunting fold!

Also joining the cast is Thomas Mann (Project X, iCarly). Look for more on the flick which stars Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, Famke Janssen, Peter Stormare, and Ingrid Bolsø Berdal very soon.

The storyline for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters picks up the fairy tale siblings 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread house incident, which provoked them to become witch bounty hunters.

Peter Stormare has joined Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, and Famke Janssen to star in Paramount/MGM’s Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters. He plays the villainous town sheriff ‘Berringer’. Stormare recently wrapped the Luc Besson produced feature film Lock Out for Sony. Stormare also stars with Keanu Reeves and Vera Farmiga in Henry’s Crime, and opposite Mel Gibson in How I Spent My Summer Vacation, and in Ed Gass-Donnelly’s Small Town Murder Songs. He’s repped by ICM and The Collective. Stormare also recently had a memorable turn in a Super Bowl ad for Budweiser. It might have been the game’s best commercial, behind Volkswagen’s pint-sized Darth Vader. See here.

The cast for Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, to be directed by Dead Snow helmer Tommy Wirkola, is looking pretty damn good.

Gemma Arterton missed out on London Fashion Week this season (bar a front row appearance at Mulberry on Sunday) – something she’s not too happy about.

“I didn’t really get to ‘do’ Fashion Week this year,” she tells us. “I’m going to Berlin for three months to shoot Hansel And Gretel this week. It’s a shame because I love going to fashion shows, I really enjoy that type of event. You know, lots of people in one room, bright lights and loud music. I love that kind of stuff.”

The former Bond girl admits finding that perfect red carpet-worthy dress isn’t one of her favourite pursuits.

“I’m really into fashion in my everyday life so that’s another reason I enjoy fashion week,” she explains. “Red carpet dressing is different, because it is all about that one pretty dress and it’s often not very inventive. I have always wanted to wear a suit on the red carpet, but so far people have always talked me out of it. It’s the politics of red carpet dressing! But one day I will. I just want to be comfortable, that’s the most important thing to me.”

The actress reveals, however, that she doesn’t get nervous about her daily fashion choices.

“I can get a bit nervous about what people will say about my outfit when it’s a really big event, but under normal circumstances I don’t really care,” she says. “In my personal life I love experimenting with fashion, but I have luckily managed to separate my everyday life from my job, so I don’t get scrutinised about what I’m wearing on a daily basis.”

Gemma Arterton is concerned about being homesick as she prepares to head off to Germany for her new film.

The Prince Of Persia star will be shooting Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters in Berlin, where she plays the titular female character, alongside Jeremy Renner as her on-screen sibling, and she predicts she may miss home comforts.

“I’m going to be there for three months, so I’m worried I’ll get homesick – this will be the first time I’m away from home for a long time,” she told the Evening Standard.

However, she’s not fussed about fitting into German life, despite not being fluent in the language.

“I don’t speak German but I get the gist of what they’re saying. It was always my favourite language in school,” she added.

In the modern-day comedy-action adaptation of the Brothers Grimm’s fairytale, set for release in 2012, the siblings have turned into bounty hunters who hunt down witches.

Another witch has joined the growing cinematic coven of Tommy Wirkola’s upcoming flick Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, and we’ve got the scoop on who’ll be casting her spell next!

According to Bloody Disgusting Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (Cold Prey franchise) has been cast as one of the witches in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D. According to BD her witch will be a “super bad hardcore killing machine.” We like.

She joins previously announced Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, and Famke Janssen in the fairytale retelling by the director of Dead Snow. The storyline for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters picks up the fairy tale siblings 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread house incident, which provoked them to become witch bounty hunters.

Look for the flick in theatres on March 2nd, 2012.

For Gemma Arterton (on her best behavior, as she had to get up early to start filming Hansel and Gretel opposite Jeremy Renner), it was a family affair: “My husband is here, and I brought my mom to the show. It was her first ever, and she thought the sparkly jacket was rather bling. I, for one, loved the high-waisted culottes. I know, I know, high waists, but they actually suit my body.” To which we asked the Bond girl, what wouldn’t suit that body?
