Gemma Arterton looked every inch the domestic goddess as she balanced two children and three shopping bags while walking through London shooting scenes for A Hundred Streets on Tuesday.
Yummy-mummy Gemma, who plays the wife of a professional rugby player, kept her two on-screen kids entertained as she walked them home from school for the new movie.
The Made In Dagenham actress slipped an oversized white shirt over some charcoal gym leggings as she pounded the pavements in running shoes, while carrying a mixture of fashion bags and groceries.
The new movie circulates around four central characters who live out their fascinating lives in parallel within one square mile of London.
Gemma plays Emily, the estranged wife of Max played by Luther actor Idris Elba, as well as being the mother of his two children.
While taking care of parent duties, the 28-year-old actress swept up her lighter-than-usual locks into a mumsy style, parting it on one side and pinning it into a bun at the back. Playing a mum-of-two, the English rose rolled up her sleeves and boasted natural barefaced beauty as she acted out a typical school run in her off-duty ensemble. Her children, dressed in his-and-hers pristine charcoal school uniforms and backpacks, danced around the actress as they portayed a happy family. In her hand, the beaming star clutched a white cased mobile phone and a straw shopper.
Later in the scene, the actress appears to stop in the street to emulate an argument with her co-star Tom Cullen while still clutching her mobile phone. This time without her shopping bags or children.
The film features the interweaving lives of a series of Londoners, who find themselves connected but also extremely lonely. (source)
The hunky Luther actor has started filming alongside Gemma Arterton for a new drama called A Hundred Streets, which is about four people with interlocking stories that are all lived out within a square mile in London.
They play an estranged married couple with Elba taking the role of Max, a former rugby superstar whose life is unravelling on the celebrity circuit. Meanwhile, Arterton, plays Emma, who has a chance of sorting out Max’s life if she can get her own back on track in the film.
Described as a “layered and gripping drama”, the movie is said to have a nod towards Oscar-winning film Crash, which was released in 2006.
The pair were seen on set spending time with their on-screen daughter and son in a park in the capital, earlier on today.
Idris, who became a father for a second time to his son Winston in April, was dressed casually in a long sleeved dark green T-shirt and a pair of jeans. Meanwhile, his 28-year-old co-star looked sophisticated in a beige blazer which she teamed with a blue T-shirt.
The former Bond girl completed her look with jeans and opted for comfort in black quilted ballet pumps. (source)
